Soft Tissue Surgeries We Perform for pets
Soft tissue conditions can affect nearly every system in your pet’s body, from breathing and digestion to mobility and comfort. Fortunately, our surgeons are exceptionally skilled and approach each case with careful planning and advanced protocols, ensuring every pet receives care tailored to their individual needs.
Below is an overview of the soft tissue surgical procedures we perform in our Kenosha animal hospital.
Abdominal surgery often requires both technical expertise and weighted decision-making. Our team regularly performs exploratory procedures to diagnose and treat internal conditions, as well as targeted surgeries once a diagnosis is confirmed. These procedures may include:
- Foreign body removal
- Intestinal resections
- Splenectomy
- Cystotomy for bladder stones
- Gallbladder removal
- Liver or intestinal biopsies
Pets with airway abnormalities can struggle with breathing, exercise intolerance, and heat regulation. We perform corrective airway surgeries such as stenotic nares repair, elongated soft palate resection, and treatment of everted laryngeal saccules to help improve airflow and quality of life. These procedures are often life-changing for affected pets and require precise surgical technique and advanced anesthesia support.
Conditions affecting the eyes and surrounding tissues can be painful and interfere with daily comfort. Our soft tissue surgical services include entropion repair, cherry eye correction, and enucleation when medically necessary. We focus on preserving comfort and function whenever possible while prioritizing your pet’s long-term well-being.
Chronic ear disease can severely impact a pet’s quality of life. For pets with advanced or recurring ear conditions, we offer lateral ear canal resections and total ear canal ablations when indicated. These procedures are performed with careful attention to pain control and post-operative comfort, often providing relief when medical management is no longer effective.
Lumps and bumps are common, but not all are harmless. We surgically remove lipomas, mast cell tumors, sebaceous cysts, and other soft tissue masses, often sending samples for diagnostic evaluation to guide next steps. Early intervention can be critical, and our team takes the time to explain findings, treatment options, and follow-up care.
