Dr. Terry Pettey

Meet Dr. Terry Pettey

Dr. Terry Pettey is the head veterinarian at Pleasant Prairie Animal Hospital. He graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Minnesota in 1995.

Dr. Pettey has interests in internal medicine, dentistry, and orthopedics. He's a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners, the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association.  Dr. Pettey is a Fear-Free certified practitioner.

Dr. Pettey approaches pet care as a team effort between himself and you, the pet owner. His goal each day is to find solutions that best fit the needs of both his clients and their pets. He understands that these solutions differ with every patient but will always put your pet's health first.

When he's not at the hospital, Dr. Pettey loves spending time outdoors with his son, wife, and their two rescued pets.

Meet Dr. Kelly Schildt

Dr. Kelly graduated from U.W. Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2006. A Kenosha native, she is thrilled to serve her community through her empathetic, inclusive approach to veterinary medicine. Her areas of interest include internal medicine, dermatology, dentistry and patient/client wellness.


Dr. Kelly is a member of the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association, the American Medical Association and is working towards her Fear Free Certification. She is also licensed in Illinois.


Dr. Kelly understands that each patient, client and case are unique and she welcomes a team based communicative approach to arrive at the most appropriate solution that best serves the pet and owner. In her free time, she thoroughly enjoys working out, running, hiking, biking and playing games with her family and friends. Her husband, son (13), daughter (11), and two rescued hounds, Britta and Rudy, bring so much love, laughter and humility into her heart.


Dr. Kelly truly can't wait to meet you and your furry best friends!
